At Acada YouthsEd Foundation, we believe in transparency, clarity, and trust. Here are answers to some of the most common questions about our mission, programs, and how you can get involved.
How do you select students for scholarships?
Students are selected based on financial need, academic commitment, leadership potential, and personal motivation. We review applications holistically, considering obstacles overcome and future goals.
What percentage of donations go directly to students?
Approximately 80% of all donations go directly to program services that benefit students—scholarships, conferences, mentorship, and resources. We maintain lean operations to maximize impact.
Can I specify where my donation goes?abusive relationships?
Yes! You can designate your gift for specific programs such as scholarships, leadership conferences, Operation Blessing, or general operating support.
How can I volunteer or become a mentor?
Visit our “Get Involved” page to complete a volunteer or mentor application. We provide training and ongoing support for all volunteers.
Do you serve students outside California?
While our primary focus is California, we also support students across the United States and in African communities, particularly Nigeria where our founder began this work.
How do you measure impact?
We track graduation rates, college enrollment, GPA improvements, leadership development, financial literacy gains, and long-term outcomes. We survey students and families regularly to assess program effectiveness.
Is Acada religious organization?
While our founder is a pastor and faith is important to her personally, Acada YouthsEd Foundation is a secular nonprofit. We serve students of all backgrounds, beliefs, and faiths.
